This recognition comes in line to mark the UAE's exceptional appeal to professionals seeking a high-quality lifestyle and conducive work environment.

Let us tell you everything about it…

Why do Dubai and Abu Dhabi stand out?

The UAE's cities have consistently excelled in the Executive Nomad Index due to several key factors, these key factors are:

Supportive visa policies: Since the UAE offers attractive visa options for remote workers, including the Digital Nomad Visa, and Golden Visa for those who meet the criteria, it has made it easy for professionals to establish themselves in the country.

World-class infrastructure: Dubai and Abu Dhabi have state-of-the-art infrastructure, including modern airports, an appealing lifestyle, and efficient transportation systems, ensuring seamless work and living experiences. This has been a statement attraction to many including some remote workers.

Favourable climate: The UAE's pleasant year-round climate provides a comfortable setting for work and leisure activities so, the city is always abuzz with things to do, whether it’s indoors or outdoors.

Vibrant lifestyle: The cities offer a diverse range of cultural experiences, entertainment options, and world-class amenities, making them attractive to almost everyone.

Beyond the tourist attractions

While Dubai and Abu Dhabi are popularly looked at mostly for their tourism and for their incredibly popular tourist attractions, the cities also have an upcoming and thriving business environment.

Professionals are capitalising on this because they can easily connect with like-minded individuals, build networks, and explore growth opportunities - this has been very appealing to people who are searching for work/remote work opportunities.

The appeal of working by the beach

The index also highlights the popularity of beachside cities among executive nomads. Málaga, Miami, Lisbon, Barcelona, and Palma consistently rank high due to their combination of beautiful beaches, vibrant cultures, and excellent quality of life.

To add to this, Dubai and Abu Dhabi’s charming beaches only have added to the appeal of remote working here. From a large range of beach clubs, waterfront cafes and resorts - who doesn’t enjoy the appeal of joining a meeting with the waves crashing in the back?

How is remote work reshaping the world?

The traditional image of a digital nomad as a young backpacker is evolving. Today's executive nomads are often older, travelling with families and seeking more sophisticated amenities. This shift to Dubai also comes in line with that as Dubai offers that kind of real estate. Plus, it is fuelled for more as the importance of factors like safety, healthcare, and access to educational facilities are also better here.
