The UAE is the 10th most powerful country in the world!

Guess the Black Eyed Peas aren’t the only ones jamming to that tune, as the UAE is now officially the 10th most powerful country in the world!

So, how did this come about, and how did we top the index?

It comes as no surprise that all that glitters is gold in the UAE, and being a haven year after year for almost every industry - this ranking is just the beginning.

The index was announced by Brand Finance, who listed a series of soft power rankings for each country, with the UAE staying strong at 10th place for the second year running among 193 countries while the US remained in the top spot.

The UAE also got top marks for having a robust economy, for future growth and generosity. It also improved its overall score compared to last year.

In another ranking, the UAE stood at top of the index for investing, working, studying, visiting, and buying products, across the region. Not to mention, the UAE's hosting of the COP28 climate talks put it on the global stage, and a haven for climate change and sustainability!

Gulf countries made big strides in a global ranking, with Saudi Arabia, moving up to 18th place, Qatar ranking 21st, and Turkey, at 25th place, was recognized for using its influence to mediate in regional conflicts.

The Gulf nations' growing soft power, and their influence, reputation, and international relations has reflected their efforts in branding, diplomacy, and hosting major events too. These rankings are based on a survey of over 170,000 people from more than 100 countries.
